All That Jazz

Anne Paceo is quite a ground-breaking artist: not only she’s one of the most talented drummers on the scene but she’s also the front woman of a jazz trio - quite a rarity, to say the least.

Jonathan Calugi was thrilled to take on the creation of the poster for Anne’s German Tour. “I wanted to make Anne an icon”, Jonathan says. “I wanted to represent her in the most essential way possible, try to capture all the elements that characterize her. The funny thing is that the shapes that identify Anne are just very abstract lines, dots and circles.”

Our friends at BureauExport were really pleased with the results: “Developing a relatively unknown French musician in Germany’s busy and competitive live music scene meant we needed a strong visual identity for Anne Paceo’s first German tour. Jonathan’s work caught our eye from the start, and fit the bill perfectly with this bold, modern and intriguing design.
