CHROMATISTA: Elena Iv-Skaya’s solo show in San Francisco

“Color! What a deep and mysterious language, the language of dreams.” – Paul Gaugin

An incredibly rich palette, combined with graphic compositions turn Elena Iv-Skaya’s photographs into painting-like creations. For her first US show, Elena Iv-Skaya takes us into her dashing world of saturated hues and high contrasts, with a collection of works exploring the power of colours.

“Color is a magic language that speaks in a powerful way,” says Elena, “it is the first element we perceive when looking at an image, and it is the most direct and immediate way to influence the soul.”

CHROMATISTA was organized by Machas in collaboration with Argonaut Gallery, located in Downtown San Francisco.

The exhibition opened with a private view on the 7th of November and will be showing until the 20th of December 2019.
